Please remember each ticket is a bearer instrument. Sign the back of your ticket for your protection. You can collect a prize of up to and including $600 from any of the thousands of New York Lottery retailers.
New York Lottery retailers can pay prizes on tickets presented up to 45 days after the draw.
For Take Five, the bonus prize of a Quick Pick Free Play MUST be claimed at a retailer location within 45 days of the draw date. After 45 days, it is not valid.
You can go to any Lottery Claim Center and receive payment by check for any winning ticket.
You can also submit a postage-paid claim-form mailer available at your New York Lottery retailer, or click here to download a mail-in claim form. Simply complete the form, put it in an envelope and mail it to: New York Lottery, P.O. Box 7533, Schenectady, NY 12301 – 7533.
If you present your ticket to your Lottery retailer, you will be given a computer-generated File Claim ticket. Attach this ticket to your copy of the claim form. RETAIN BOTH THE COMPUTER FILE CLAIM TICKET AND YOUR COPY OF THE CLAIM FORM UNTIL YOU HAVE RECEIVED YOUR CHECK IN THE MAIL. ALL PRIZES MUST BE CLAIMED WITHIN ONE YEAR OF THE DRAWING, or for Instant Tickets, ONE YEAR FROM THE ANNOUNCED END OF GAME. (See End of Game Schedule here.)
TICKET SAFETY CHECKLIST
· Sign Your Ticket upon receipt.
· Check your ticket(s) before leaving the store to ensure you have the correct ticket and all corresponding receipts.
· Use the ticket checker now available at retail locations statewide.
· Check your ticket before handing it to the store clerk for payment. If possible, make a copy of your ticket or simply jot down the numbers from the front & back of the ticket before handing it over if you suspect the prize is valued at $600 or more.
· Check your numbers against the Lottery’s official winning numbers posted at 16,000 retail locations statewide, in newspapers and online at nylottery.org.
· Read the back of your ticket(s) to learn about alternative methods for claiming your prize (e.g. visit your regional Lottery claim center or mail it in).
· Keep all Lottery tickets in a safe, secure place as the Lottery is not liable for lost or stolen tickets.
· All Lottery instant game prizes must be claimed within one year from the announced end of game.
· All prizes for a Lottery drawing must be claimed within one year from the date of the drawing.
